ICE announced the arrest of Radule Bojovic, a police officer with the Hanover Park Police Department in Illinois, who is a citizen of Montenegro and had overstayed his U.S. visa by 10 years. Bojovic originally entered on a B2 tourist visa that expired March 31, 2015, but remained in the country unlawfully while working as a sworn officer. He was arrested as part of Operation Midway Blitz, an ICE enforcement effort targeting individuals living illegally in the U.S., particularly those in positions of public trust.

Lonardo Garcia Venegas, 25, was working at a construction site in coastal Alabama when he saw masked immigration agents hop a fence and run by a “No trespassing” sign. Garcia Venegas recalled them moving toward the Latino workers. He started filming after his undocumented brother asked agents for a warrant. The agents yanked his brother to the ground, shoving his face into wet concrete. Garcia Venegas kept filming until officers grabbed him too and knocked his phone to the ground. They repeatedly tried to take him to the ground while he yelled, “I’m a citizen!” Officers pulled out his REAL ID, which Alabama only issues to those legally in the U.S. But agents dismissed it as fake. Officers held Garcia Venegas handcuffed for more than an hour. His brother was later deported. Garcia Venegas was so shaken that he took two weeks off of work. Soon after he returned, he was working alone inside a nearly built house listening to music on his headphones when he sensed someone watching him. A masked immigration agent was standing in the bedroom doorway. Again, they dismissed his REAL ID and held him to check his citizenship. Yesterday our dear friend Victor was kidnapped by ICE in Hillsboro. We have been friends with this incredible man for more than 15 years. He’s one of the kindest, hardest working, most community-minded people we have ever known. Victor is a father and grandfather, and the guy you call in an emergency. ICE had no warrant. Victor has no criminal record. He has a work Visa and temporary status ID and has been actively trying to get his immigration status resolved for more than a decade. The process is long, arduous, expensive, and inefficient.

Masked men terrorized and kidnapped 5 people this morning in Encinitas. They were hard working parents and neighbors and at least two U.S. citizens.

My dad was detained by ICE on 10/14/25 in Harbor Gateway (228th & Western). He was riding his bike back home from the store. Literally 5 minutes away from home… He did not have an active deportation order and he does not pose a threat to national security. However, he was still detained by ICE. My heart breaks for our whole community and those who are in the same situation. The system is broken and has failed my family multiple times but I will not let this happen to my dad without a fight. I created a gofundme for help with the legal fees if anyone could assist. My family and I appreciate any help, prayers or a share.

ICE detained a man at his home in Chicago and subsequently released him without providing any documentation. The incident was reported by Don Lemon on Instagram, highlighting concerns about the lack of paperwork provided during his release.

ICE agents chased a man into a private home in Bridgeview, where the homeowner began recording and told the agents to leave his property, saying they had no right to be inside.

Today around 11am a family was stopped with the excuse that they were looking for a specific person. They showed an invalid warrant and used it to kidnap a family member. Agents speaking spanish and blaming the family for “traumatizing the children”.

Facebook is suspending a popular Chicago-area ICE sighting group at the Trump administration's request. The group has been used over the past month to warn neighbors when ICE agents are near schools, grocery stores and other community locations.

DHS is threatening to charge people who document ICE agents. 
The Department of Homeland Security says filming and posting videos of ICE agents constitutes “violence,” and has threatened to charge people who take videos and photos of agents conducting raids in their communities. DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin told the Center for Media and Democracy that “videotaping ICE law enforcement and posting photos and videos of them online is doxxing our agents.” Apparently she isn’t aware of the First Amendment (no surprise) Reminder: The First Amendment protects the right to records law enforcement officers performing their duties in public. Rodney Taylor, a Gwinnett County barber, immigrated from Liberia as a toddler, more than 40 years ago. Born with severe disabilities to his legs and arms, he was brought to the U.S. by his mother at age 2, so he could receive treatment. The disabilities eventually led to his left leg being amputated above the knee and his right leg below the knee. The double amputee was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at his home on Jan. 15. At the time of his arrest, Taylor had work visa and a pending application for a green card through his adult son, who is a U.S. citizen. ICE has kept Taylor in detention because of a felony burglary conviction that he pleaded guilty to as a teenager, and from which he was pardoned by the state of Georgia in 2010. He is being held at ICE’s Stewart Detention Center, located in the remote South Georgia town of Lumpkin. “His health is at risk every day he remains in detention,” Mildred Pierre, Taylor’s fiancee, said in a statement. This week, his legal team filed a brief in Georgia federal court arguing that he is being detained unlawfully. It’s an attempt to put an end to Taylor’s time in immigration custody, which recently surpassed the eight-month mark.

George Retes is a 25-year-old U.S. Army veteran who served a tour in Iraq. On July 10, while on his way to work as a security guard at a Southern California cannabis farm, he was detained by federal immigration agents, Retes told Conor Friedersdorf—despite telling them that he is an American citizen and that his wallet and identification were in his nearby car.⁠Retes was held in a jail cell for three days and was not allowed to make a phone call, see an attorney, appear before a judge, or take a shower to wash off pepper spray and tear gas that the agents had used, according to a public-interest law firm representing Retes.⁠Retes is seeking relief under the Federal Tort Claims Act, which allows private parties to sue for negligent or wrongful acts committed by federal employees acting within their job. “There must be some avenue to hold the federal government or its officers liable for violating George’s constitutional rights,” Marie Miller, one of Retes’s attorneys, told Friedersdorf.⁠ ICE did not respond to Friedersdorf’s request for comment about Retes’s claim, but a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security put out a statement after the raid in which he was swept up, saying that the “U.S. Attorney’s Office is reviewing his case, along with dozens of others, for potential federal charges related to the execution of the federal search warrant in Camarillo.”⁠

A CNN investigation found at least 100 children who have been left behind, and abandoned by the U.S. government, after their parents were swept up by ICE. Some of their parents are sitting in detention centers hoping to return home. Others have been deported with no idea how/if they’ll ever see their children again. his morning a community member came across this man getting detained at 7:20 am (8/29). They noted: “They barely talked to him if at all. I think he tried getting away from them and then they took him to the ground”. Everyone remain vigilant and continue to support one another. We are stronger united.

Everyone had their case dismissed that afternoon which meant ICE could now take them at anytime. With only one way out of the building and ICE sitting in cars throughout the parking lot I knew what was going to happen. Toward her. And that’s when it started. The little girl saw them first. “Mommy! Mommy!” she screamed, and burst into tears. Then her brother realized what was happening and started crying too. An 82-year-old grandfather from Pennsylvania was quietly deported to Guatemala after he was apprehended during a visit to an ICE office to replace his lost green card. Luis León lived in the U.S. for nearly 40 years. He was granted political asylum in the U.S. in 1987 after surviving torture under the military regime of the U.S.-backed Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet. His family says they were initially told he was dead, then learned he was in a hospital in Guatemala, a country he has no connection to. Guatemala is one of nearly a dozen countries that has an agreement with the Trump administration to receive deported immigrants of other nationalities

On June 11, two asylum seekers who reported for immigration court were detained by ICE in Spokane. A protest ensued where demonstrators blocked an ICE bus and deflated its tires. Military veteran Bajun Mavalwalla II, who participated in the protest, was arrested by FBI agents at his home on July 15.
